2019年3月24日，第24届中国日报社“21世纪·可口可乐杯”全国英语演讲比赛总决赛在杭州国际博览中心落下帷幕中，来自清华大学物理系的陈逸贤摘得桂冠，再次在万众瞩目中捧杯“21世纪杯”。这距离他上次参加“21世纪杯”高中组并夺得全国冠军才刚刚过去两年。（戳这里回顾小陈同学在高中组舞台的夺冠演讲）
对于在高手如云、神仙打架的本届大学组比赛中夺冠，陈逸贤很谦虚地表示自己知道结果的一瞬间觉得心有惭愧。他表示，在现场看到“21世纪杯”历史上同样得过双冠军，来自清华大学的许吉如学姐高超的主持和演讲能力，又观摩了“一带一路”青少年英语演讲比赛总决赛上陈麒羽学姐行云流水般的即席演讲和答题，感觉到自己只不过是一个很喜欢读英语书和讲英式段子的木讷的物理学生。
他仅仅把这次比赛当成一次展现自我的平台，也是第一次尝试脱稿的3分钟的即席演讲，完全没有想到能走到这样一步。而正是这样轻装上阵的心态助力了他的表现，征服了比赛现场的评委和观众。

回忆起自己与英语和英语演讲的渊源，陈逸贤分享道：“我的父母都是大学的英语老师，所以从小有一个学习英语的氛围。我小学五年级的时候，我老妈给我拿了一本《哈利波特与凤凰社》串读，每天给我半英半中地读一点，一周读一章。从那时候起我就特别喜欢读原著，初高中的时候也是一周刷三本这种速度不停地看。”陈逸贤还特别喜欢看科幻剧《神秘博士》，新版老版剧集刷了800集。受兴趣驱使，他也在各类论坛上翻译了不少剧集相关的书和字幕。

与英语演讲和“21世纪杯”结缘也似乎同样是“无心插柳柳成荫”。在高三第一次选考（浙江新高考）发挥失误后，陈逸贤本着换换心境的态度报名了“21世纪杯”，结果惊喜夺冠，这也给予了他充足的信心继续征战高考，最终获得多所名校的橄榄枝。在进入清华大学后，他还通过吴霞老师的演讲课获得了更多专业知识和实践机会，于是在大二又萌生了再次参赛的想法。
备赛的时间紧张，物理专业的陈逸贤在多个专业课题的夹击下，通过短暂的突击准备，构思出了极富专业特色的已备演讲稿。半决赛中，他用李惕碚院士的“慧眼”做为主要例子，总决赛则着眼科学在人文的约束下给人类带来美好的未来的论点。依托专业背景的系统知识的支撑，他并没有使用多数选手会用的 story来打动评委，宁愿多体现一点专业知识也不浪费给自己不擅长的故事讲述。

他的这一策略也受到了总决赛评委，“21世纪杯”的老朋友，复旦大学外文学院院长曲卫国老师的肯定。曲老师认为，不少选手在选择角度时都没有考虑学理问题：我们是否有足够的知识储备把这个切入点讲好？他建议，选手拿到一个题目后，首先应该考虑的不是哪个角度新或抓眼球，而是如何使用我们所学的系统知识去支持演讲。没有系统知识支持的讨论基本都是没有特点的、无法深入下去的泛泛而论。大学生的演讲光求新是不够的，要体现的自己的学问以及学问的作用。

今年5月，陈逸贤将再次踏上IPSC国际公众演讲赛的旅途。在未来，他希望顺利地从清华毕业，继续攻读博士研究生，将天体物理研究课题和演讲结合起来，做理论物理界最会演讲的，演讲界中物理最好的。
